3 amperes power supply circuit using ISL8036

Using ISL8036 integrated power controller circuit can be designed a very simple high efficiency power supply . The maximum output current that can be provided by this power supply circuit is around 3A . output current or current sharing .

The input voltage range is from 2.8V to 6V, allowing for the use of a single Li+ cell, three NiMH cells or a regulated 5V input. The two channels are 180 degrees out of phase, and each one has a guaranteed minimum output current of 3A but they can be combined to form a single 6A output in the current sharing mode.

The output voltage is regulated by controlling the reference voltage to the current loop.
As you can see in the schematic circuit , this power supply require few external electronic components and will provide a fixed output voltage of 1.8 volts at a maximum output current of 3 amperes .

As you can see in the schematic circuit , this power supply based on the ISL8036 integrated circuit has two outputs , both will provide the same fixed output voltage at the same maximum output current of 3 amps .
